Support
One address, read by a person. Dateworthy is operated by Pappas Productions LLC.
Support, privacy requests, safety concerns and ban appeals all come here.
What to include
We have no username to look you up by, so the one thing we really need is the phone number on the account.
- The phone number you signed up with. That is how we find your account.
- What you need, in a sentence or two. If something isn’t working, what you tapped and what happened instead.
- Screenshots, if there is anything to see.
- For a ban appeal, also send what happened in your own words and anything showing the report was wrong. The appeals page has the full list.
- For a privacy request — a copy of your data, or deletion — say which. You can also do both yourself in the app; see your choices.
Never send us a password or a payment card number. We will never ask for either, and neither one has anything to do with signing in to Dateworthy.
What to expect back
A person reads every email and answers by email — not a bot, not a form letter. We answer as quickly as we can, and safety comes first: a report filed inside the app goes into the moderation queue ahead of general support, and we act on valid reports promptly, typically within 24 hours.
A ban appeal is read by a person too. If we got it wrong, you are let straight back in the next time you open the app.
If you are in immediate danger, call 911. You can also reach the National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-7233. Email is not the right tool for an emergency.
Reporting and blocking, in short
You don’t need to email us to deal with somebody. Both controls are in the app, on every profile and inside every chat:
- Block anyone, instantly, both ways. No reason required, and they are never told. Unblock from Safety in the app whenever you want.
- Report anyone, from their profile or from the chat. A few questions decide the priority, dangerous answers escalate the report immediately, and a person reviews it and closes it with a written reason — dismissed, a warning, content removed, the account hidden, or the account banned.
- For a catfish, pick that reason and you can attach a photo you took when you met. Only our safety team can open it, and it is deleted when the report is closed.
The safety page has all of this in full.
A few things people ask
- Is Dateworthy out yet?
- Not yet. It is coming to TestFlight first, then the App Store.
- Why does it need my location?
- To show you people near you and to honour the distance filter. “While Using the App” is all we ask for, and your exact position is never shown to anyone. The details are here.
- Can other people see my private answers?
- No. They are never displayed and never returned to another user. They only ever affect who turns up in somebody’s deck. More on Shadow Search.
- How do I get my data, or delete everything?
- Both are in the app: Settings › Export my data, and Profile › Delete account. Or email us and we will do it.
